Mission
The Techno Titans' mission statement is to strengthen engineering knowledge and skills amoung members. This is done through:
- Direct mentoring from technical professionals
- Engineering workshops
- Collaboration with Nordson Corporation
- Collaboration with Siemens Energy & Automation Motion Division
- National engineering competitions such as FIRST and BEST
- Association with like-minded individuals and organizations
The Techno Titans also strive to develop a culture that encourages young people to pursue educational and career opportunities in science, technology, and engineering. The team promotes this mission through outreach programs within Northview, other schools, and the community in general.
Schedule
During the BEST 2009 build season we have a regular meeting schedule. Meetings will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning at 4 PM and Saturdays beginning at 9 AM. Meetings will always begin in Room 535 (Mr.Weinberger's new room), and from there sub-teams will disperse into the various engineering labs. Food will sometimes be provided, but it is wise to bring a few dollars in case the team decides to order-in for lunch on Saturdays.
