The Northview Techno Titans FRC Team 1683 is a robotics team based out of Northview High School in Johns Creek, Georgia. We began as a small club with few members and one mentor in 2005. It has since expanded into a thriving community full of students striving to succeed in a full-fledged, self-sustaining 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our main goal is to create a collaborative environment where parents, mentors, and especially student leaders act as role models, inspiring future generations to pursue a career in STEM. Becoming a nonprofit has allowed us to further expand and spread STEM education throughout our community, giving us the liberty to partner with corporations and work on projects to showcase at outreach events, such as our t-shirt robot, Kronos. Every year, we reach more people, increasing our impact on the community. We put great emphasis on three main points in our outreach program: community, learning, and leadership. We are working towards being more than just a FIRST team— by becoming increasingly involved in our community, we are working towards becoming the model FIRST team, an embodiment of what FIRST is, that is a gateway to inspiring the future generation of leaders.
