The Northview Techno Titans FRC Team 1683 is a robotics team based out of Northview High School in Johns Creek, Georgia.  We began as a small club with few members and one mentor in 2005. Our team has since expanded into a thriving community full of students striving to succeed, supported by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation.

Our main goal is to create a collaborative environment where parents, mentors, and especially student leaders act as role models, inspiring future generations to pursue a career in STEM. Becoming a nonprofit has allowed us to further expand and spread STEM education throughout our community, giving us the liberty to partner with corporations and work on projects to showcase at outreach events, such as our t-shirt robot, Kronos.

Every year, we strive to reach more people, increasing our impact in the Johns Creek community. We put great emphasis on three main points in our outreach program: community, learning, and leadership. We are working towards being more than just a FIRST team— by becoming increasingly involved in our community, we are working towards becoming the model FIRST team, an embodiment of what FIRST is, that is a gateway to inspiring the future generation of leaders.

The Individual

We value each student and strive to provide them an environment where they can learn technical skills like programming or engineering, but also essential life skills such as teamwork, communication, and leadership.

The Team

We want our team to grow every year. The Techno Titans focus on building strong relationships with companies to gain sponsorship support and connect more companies with robotics. We also focus on improving our marketing to increase team visibility.

The Community

One of the most important aspects of STEM is inspiring others. We have developed an outreach program that invites everyone from elementary school to high school in our community. We mentor, provide support, give robot demonstrations, and work with our community leaders to help promote STEM to everyone in Johns Creek.
