Gwinnett 2026 Competition Recap

Over the weekend, our team traveled to Discovery High School to compete at the PCH District Gwinnett Event. Our robot, Vulcan, got off to a strong start, winning our first six matches in a row. Unfortunately, a few technical issues resulted in a tie and a couple of losses. Nevertheless, we resolved the issue and won the remaining matches. After the qualification matches, we ranked third out of thirty teams.

We became Alliance 2 Captains, picking FRC 1261 (Robo Lions) and FRC 8100 (Grayson Robotics) as our alliance partners. In the playoffs, we won the first two matches, but we sadly lost the next two matches, eliminating us. We would like to thank our alliance partners and pit crew for their hard work throughout the matches!

Additionally, our team won the Industrial Design Award. The judges recognized our robot for its efficient and practical design, which stood out through its unique style and functionality. Our team was thrilled to receive this award.

Overall, it was a great competition filled with great team spirit, collaboration, and teamwork. We look forward to seeing everyone again in a couple of weeks for our competition in Gainesville!
