STING 2026 Competition Recap

On September 19–20, our team competed at the Southeast Tournament Invitational at North Gwinnett (STING), graciously hosted by FRC 1771, North Gwinnett Robotics! While our robot faced quite a few challenges throughout the competition, we finished qualifications ranked 16th out of 19 teams. During alliance selection, we were selected by Alliance 5 Captain FRC 9971 (North Gwinnett Robotics B), and we chose FRC 8736 (The Mechanisms) to join our alliance.

In the round-robin playoffs, we played hard and finished with 2 wins out of 5 matches. While the results were not quite what we hoped for, we gained a lot of experience and learned a lot along the way! This competition was especially important for our team because it gave us the opportunity to test new strategies, tools, and a new drive team. The challenges helped us identify areas to improve as we prepare for our next competition.

A huge thank you to our amazing alliance partners and every member of our team for all the hard work and support! We're looking forward to GRITS, where we’ll be joining 45 other teams for our next challenge! See you there!
