After proudly winning the GRITS competition, our team has been continuously preparing for the new game, Rebuilt. Here is what each sub-team has been up to:
Business has been updating and redesigning the website. They have been exploring potential sponsors for our team and redesigning the flag we use during competitions. They have also been consistently updating our team and others through Instagram posts – check them out!
Advanced design has created a Steamworks bot to practice various design techniques and then started designing a ball shooter in preparation for the new game season. Beginner design learned the basics of fabrication and how to design larger subsystems like the intake, shooter, and elevator. They are currently working on the FRCDesign learning program. These skills will help them choose and prototype a robot design for the REBUILT season.Â
The Robot code group (programming) has been writing code from a 2024 robot to practice programming our next year’s robot. Scouting Systems has been learning Android Studio and how the app works, which prepares them to contribute to the app when game season begins.Â
Electrical students learned and were tested on basic robot electrical components, wiring practices, how a motor functions, and wire classification. With this knowledge, they helped wire the ground intake and are ready to apply what they learned on the new robot.Â
Fabrication students learned how to use power tools and have worked on the game pieces for our ball shooter, the gearbox for the ground intake, and mounting the ground intake. They are currently waiting for Design to finalize their work on the compression tester and ball shooter before starting to fabricate.Â
Our team is putting in great effort during bootcamp for REBUILT. Keep up the hard work!Â
